Ferndale is a splendid detached three-storey Victorian house, which has been tastefully modernised to provide superior, caring accommodation. It is situated in Southbourne, Emsworth, near Chichester and is a mile from the sea front. It is approximately two miles from the centre of Emsworth with all its amenities. Ferndale is a privately owned care home providing residential and respite day care to older people with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Our aim is to encourage and assist each resident to live as independently as possible and to have a fulfilling life, in a comfortable, secure and happy environment.
Our guiding principle is that Ferndale is the residents' home, and their move into residential care should enhance, rather than restrict, their lives. Residents are encouraged to furnish their rooms with personal items and familiar objects.
The individual's right to privacy, dignity and respect is honoured at all times, and the resident and his/her relatives are involved in any decisions taken about the resident's care or welfare.
Residents are given security and protection, along with companionship, first-class care and freedom from the worries of coping alone.
